PAT Testing

What is PAT Testing?
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is both a visual inspection & physical electrical safety test on any portable devices or fixed applicances, mains operated with a flex cable, and plug or industrial connector.
A crucial part of business compliance, in legislation, the HSA & Insurance. In recording routine safety maintenance of portable applicances in your business. A legal requirement for businesses to comply with the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2007 S.I. 299 Irish Regulation.
Scheduled routine PAT Testing with agreed risk-assessed testing periods. Depending on the applicances, environment, frequency of use, and chance of being moved. This can vary from 3 months to 3 years.
Ensuring all mains powered Portable & Fixed Appliances:
- Are safe to use by all staff or public.
- Do not pose an electrical risk or fire hazard.
- Conform to current electrical safety standards (eg: BSI, CE Marks).
- Pass a detailed Inspection & Electrical Safety Test.
